Today I have another #5minutenailart post to share with you! I explained the idea in my first #5minutenailart post, but the basic premise is that I start with a base of a plain, single-colour manicure. I then set a timer for 5 minutes and I have to turn it into some pretty nail art in that time! The idea is that if you have time to do your nails at all, then you have time to do some pretty nail art!
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas and now that it’s just about over, it’s time to start planning for the next celebration – New Year! I’ve decided to go with something simple and extra sparkly.

I am very excited to share a review of a gorgeous watch with you today, along with not one but THREE nail art looks that you can wear along with the watch. Make sure you read to the end of the post because we are also giving away some gift vouchers for $25 off any of the gorgeous JORD watches. Just the discount you need so you can get a JORD watch as a special Christmas gift (for someone else or for yourself!)
Both the classiness of a JORD watch and its wooden theme start with the packaging. Each watch comes in a wooden box with the JORD logo engraved on the lid.
Today I have a simple but stunning glitter gradient to share with you. A while ago I received a lovely box from Siobhan at For the Love of Nail Art with some beautiful polishes. One of the polishes she included for me was Wet n Wild The Gold & The Beautiful. I admit, when I first saw the bottle, I didn’t think I’d be crazy about this polish, but the moment I put a coat on my nail I was sold. Just one coat and my nail took on a gorgeous gold-flecked appearance. I decided to combine it with purple to create a gradient fit for a queen 🙂(more…)
Today I have some stamping and some glitter to share with you. I originally planned on double stamping the flowers in blue with lots of butterflies in purple over them, but I found the flowers became lost so I went with one butterfly as an accent instead. Let’s take a look: (more…)
I’m a little later than usual with my post today because it’s a public holiday here in South Africa, but I made it! I couldn’t decide which untried purple to use for today, so I managed to use 3 🙂 (2 are glitters which contain some purple at least!) (more…)
Missy from Gnarly Gnails has thought up another challenge. This time the idea behind the challenge is to use up untried polishes. I didn’t think I had enough untrieds to take part until I decided to stretch the rules a little to make it unblogged – almost every polish I have I’ve at least done a quick swatch on my right hand. Some I’ve also used before I started blogging, but I decided to include those as fair game for the challenge. I won’t be taking part in every day of the challenge as I don’t have all the right polishes, but I’ll be joining in where I can!
Today’s prompt is glitter, so I went with a simple but always lovely glitter gradient. (more…)
I hope you all had a relaxing weekend. You may have noticed I’ve been on a bit of a stamping run ever since I got my new squishy stamper, and today is no exception… more stamping! I am loving the new squishy, and the more practice I get with it, the better I’ll get! The only problem with this plan is soon I’ll be wanting some more stamping plates 🙂(more…)
