Today I have a review of some Born Pretty Store nail foils. Since I bought some foil glue a couple of months ago, I decided it was time to give patterned foil another go and see if I could make it work for me.(more…)
It’s day 4 of the 31 Day Challenge and today’s theme is green. It just so happens that today I used the same gold acrylic paint that I used just 2 days ago for orange. That was unplanned, I was doing many of these looks in advance and hadn’t realised I ended up using it twice to close together until later.
It’s day 2 of the 31 Day challenge and as I mentioned yesterday, I don’t love today’s nail art. I remember having a tube of gold acrylic paint among my other paints as a teenager, and noticed that it had a different texture than the others. That was confirmed when I recently bought some gold acrylic paint for nail art. It may be partly because I bought cheap craft paint instead of artist’s paint, but it definitely has a runnier texture compared to my other acrylics and I had a hard time getting a fine line like I’m used to – especially if I added more paint, wanting to darken a line – it’d just spread out! Oh, well. It’s still an orange freehand nail art!
The polishes used in this post were provided for my honest review.
Today I am excited to share a new collection from Darling Diva Polish with you. This 8-piece collection, called Watch Your Pack, is inspired by the TV show Teen Wolf. I haven’t watched Teen Wolf yet, but considering previous DDP collections include Deadpool, which I liked, and Star Wars, which I love, maybe I should! This collection is releasing this Friday, 22 July, and all polishes are one-pour only, which means when they’re sold out, they’re gone forever. I absolutely love this collection so I’ve taken a lot of pictures (picture heavy post!) and I recently got a macro lens for my phone – if you follow me on Snapchat you may have already seen macros of some of these – so for the first time on Painted Fingertips, I’ll be including macro shots of all polishes as well. Enjoy!
A while ago I showed you a #5minutenailart that I had done using the cling wrap technique. At the time I thought that this was the perfect base for some stamping, and so I decided to turn it into some pretty peacock-themed nail art.
