A while ago on Snapchat I shared a step-by-step for how I do gradient nails. Of course, the result was (as expected) some pretty gradient nails. I used some lovely holos for these so they came out extra-gorgeous!
Today I am taking part in a Hobby Polish Bloggers linkup. If you’re also a blogger, it’s a great group to be in to discuss nails and blogging. This month’s theme is gradients.
If you haven’t heard of Piggieluv before, you’re going to thank me for this post. If you’re really into nails, though, you probably have! She is one of my favourite nail artists and does amazing freehand and 3D designs. Today’s look was inspired by this post she did. She created a love story in 5 manis and I chose one of the 5 to repoduce. I went with a different coloured gradient, and somehow my couple ended up looking really short, but overall I like it!
For today’s nails I started with a plan of doing geometric nails and it morphed until it became more about gradients than about anything geometric. You’ll have to excuse my slightly poorly lit photos – my lighting setup didn’t move with me so I had to make do. You’ll be seeing a few posts like this but it’ll get better! I already got a couple of lamps although I’m struggling to get my hands on good bulbs.
Today’s theme is gradient, and I finally got around to doing some nails I’ve been meaning to do for ages. For this same prompt last year, Sarah from Chalkboard Nails did some fireflies on a sunset gradient. The look was hugely popular and I loved it too! I have finally done my own version. (more…)
I have really been loving gradients lately and today I have used a gradient again, as a base for some fun freehand nail art. I was inspired by this post on A Little Polish, where Stephanie stamped flowers over a gradient. I did something similar but I changed up the colours and did it freehand. (more…)
Today I have a simple but lovely gradient to share with you. I actually did this gradient to practice one potential option for my wedding nails! I’m getting married next month and I’ve picked everything I need except for what to do on my nails. There are just too many options!(more…)
Today I have a simple but stunning glitter gradient to share with you. A while ago I received a lovely box from Siobhan at For the Love of Nail Art with some beautiful polishes. One of the polishes she included for me was Wet n Wild The Gold & The Beautiful. I admit, when I first saw the bottle, I didn’t think I’d be crazy about this polish, but the moment I put a coat on my nail I was sold. Just one coat and my nail took on a gorgeous gold-flecked appearance. I decided to combine it with purple to create a gradient fit for a queen 🙂(more…)
By now you might have seen some nail art looks done using nail vinyls. They have become pretty popular for nail art over the past few months as a way to create patterns and do fun and easy nail art. When Loki’s Nail Vinyls asked me to review their product, I jumped at the chance. There are a few different nail vinyl brands out there already, but these are the first I have had the opportunity to try. (more…)
