It’s very definitely Autumn here and all of the leaves are changing! The tree outside my window was still green a couple of weeks ago but it’s golden-yellow now and rapidly losing its leaves. Soon it will be bare and winter will be here!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared a drip marble – too long! This is such a fun and beautiful style of nail art. I can never get enough – each drip marble is so unique and if you use a good mix of polishes, it’ll be gorgeous.
It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is white. At first I didn’t like this theme at all – I was thinking that I’d have to do predominantly white, bridal-looking manicures all week. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, but those types of looks just aren’t my usual style. Even for my own wedding, I wore turquoise nail polish! That made me dread the idea of an all-white week. That was until I had the idea to do nail art based on things that are white, rather than just making white the dominant colour. It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is Mythical Creatures. I am so excited for this one – I love fantasy and the mythical creatures that go along with it. I also think I’ve done at least a couple of good nail art looks for this week that I am excited to share with you! As I mentioned in my snowy Minnesota home post earlier this week, I’m at an out-of-town conference this week so I wasn’t able to do all 5 Digital Dozen manicures for the ‘my home’ theme. This is the second one I was able to finish, and it’s for my childhood home. I grew up and spent most of the first 2 decades of my life in Pretoria, South Africa. Pretoria is known as the Jacaranda City for its many streets lined with Jacaranda trees. (more…)
