Do you remember the gorgeous pinky purple polish from Fair Maiden I showed you last week? If not – go check it out! It’s beautiful! Today I am sharing the other Fair Maiden I purchased at the same time. For now I just have these two, but considering how lovely they both are, I’ll have to keep a close eye on the brand! (more…)
Lately it’s seemed like we’ll be getting an early Spring, and then it’s only a matter of time until Summer. Once Summer comes, the long warm evenings will probably find you looking up at the stars before long! Hopefully they don’t look quite like the ones in the starry manicure I have to show you today, or something could be seriously wrong. This is an older manicure which I didn’t get around to posting for a while – here it is at last. (more…)
Today I have a swatch of Vapid’s Spider and the Fly to share with you. Over the past year or more, I have seen Vapid spoken about with admiration in various nail groups. I eventually decided to take the plunge and get a couple to test out for myself. This is one of the ones I selected, and I wasn’t disappointed!
Naturally, December brings Christmas! I’ve always loved Christmas and I have happy childhood memories of setting up the Christmas tree. When we first got a fake tree, we had far too many ornaments for the tiny tree but we insisted on squeezing them all on anyway – it probably looked ridiculous but we liked it and we’d sit around it in the evenings with all of the lights on 🙂
Can you believe it’s December already? I don’t know what’s happened to this year. December means it’s almost Christmas though, and that means it’s time to wear some Christmassy nail polish! Over the past couple of weeks I’ve really been loving my green polishes. Today I have the perfect green texture for Christmas to share with you: Zoya Chita.
It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen does colour contrasts week and today I’m going with the third ‘obvious’ contrast – red and green! I’ve already shown you my blue and orange and purple and neon yellow nails. We actually had a bit of a discussion in the Digital Dozen group about how to avoid making red and green look too Christmassy, I think I managed it though 🙂
The polishes used in this post include both press samples and items purchased at a blogger discount.
I am so excited to share today’s post with you. Not only am I going to share seven beautiful new polishes from The Howling Boutique’s Supermoon Lacquer with you, but there is also a giveaway at the end! You will be able to win your choice of two of these beauties – this post is picture heavy but be sure to make it through to the end for the giveaway!
Supermoon Lacquer is a relatively new brand, but one that has already caught my eye – you may have noticed me using one of their polishes as the base for my water drops nail art a couple of weeks ago. Of course, I jumped at the chance to swatch their new, gloriously darker collection, filled with shimmer and shift. This is Supermoon’s third full collection and it may just be their best yet!
It’s a gorgeous autumn here in Minnesota – the trees are all changing beautifully and it isn’t TOO cold yet. Leaves of every colour are beginning to fall and that’s the part of the autumn I’ve decided to recreate on my nails.
It’s the second last day of the 31 Day Challenge! I’ve actually already done my nails for tomorrow so I’m officially finished and these were the last nails I did. Today’s theme is inspired by a tutorial. You probably know by now that I enjoy recreating other nail art looks I love, but not everyone does tutorials. I had to search a little to find a tutorial that fit my freehand criteria for the challenge. In the end I picked a water drops tutorial by Starrynail. This is the second look by her I’ve recreated this challenge (the first was my Game of Thrones look) – she just does such amazing freehand art!
