Hi everyone!

I’m still out of town TAing a field camp, so for today I have enlisted Nichole of Bedlam Beauty to share her gorgeous nails with us! She’s come up with something quite special, so let’s get to it!

12 Days of Christmas: Freestyle

Hi everyone!

It’s the final day of the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge from Challenge Your Nail Art! I’m so glad to have made it to the end. Today’s nail art is inspired by some recent Christmas decorations nail art from Will Paint Nails For Food. I really love Meghan’s blog and her nails always look beautifully artistic with perfect line work. I couldn’t get mine looking as perfect as hers but I liked my hanging Christmas decorations nonetheless! Painted Fingertips | Christmas decorations (more…)

12 Days of Christmas: Any line from the ’12 Days’ song

Hi everyone!

I’m sure most of you know the ’12 Days of Christmas’ song.

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:
A partridge in a pear tree.

The song goes on for 12 days of Christmas with 12 different gifts (e.g. 2 turtle doves, 5 golden rings, 12 drummers drumming). The idea of today’s prompt was to take one of the gifts from the song and translate it into nail art. I decided to ‘cheat’ by instead using the line ‘On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me’. For our first Christmas together, my true love gave me a beautiful summer dress with a leaf print pattern. I decided to do matching nails:Painted Fingertips | Leaf print nails (inspired by a dress) (more…)

Day 27 of the 31 Day Challenge: Inspired by an Artwork

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme in the 31 Day Challenge is ‘Inspired by an Artwork’. There are so many beautiful artworks out there – most of which are tough to translate to nail art – but I remembered seeing these amazing nails done by Break Rules Not Nails. They were inspired by an artwork called “Home on the Hill” by Megan Duncanson. It was the first time I heard of Megan Duncanson, but I love the vivid colours and brushstrokes used in all her works. I’ve been keeping this picture around for ages wanting to recreate it, so I finally got my chance. Here’s the original artwork (picture from Google):

Nail Art A-Go-Go Challenge Day 19: Game Night

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme for the Nail Art A-Go-Go Challenge is Game Night. I struggled for a while to think of a good idea for this one, but eventually another mani I’d seen recently surfaced from the back of my mind and I realised it was perfect for this theme. For the life of me, I can’t remember where I saw this, and I couldn’t find it with a quick search because too many similar designs have been done, so please do let me know if you know who did it!

31 Day Challenge – DAY 31!!! Honour nails you Love

Hello ladies!

I made it! It’s the final day of the 31 day challenge and I DID it! 😀 Posting every day takes more time than you may think, so I’m pretty proud of myself 😀

Today’s prompt is to honour nails I love, and it was just about impossible to choose just one thing to do for today. However, there was one design I just kept coming back to as I was deciding. It’s not from within the challenge, but I’ve had a picture saved for weeks, waiting for a chance to try it. And here it is:
