Today’s theme in the 31 Day Challenge is flowers. I decided to recreate some poinsettia nail art I’ve had on my Pinterest board for AGES. The original look was by Lacquerstyle. I know poinsettias are associated with Christmas in some areas but they don’t really have that association where I’m from so I decided to do them now anyway. (more…)
I have been itching to show you this one for weeks! A while ago I was wondering what I could put on my nails when I happened to glance down at my jeans and saw the beaded flower on them. I thought… why not do a beaded flower on my nails? So I did! Then I realised this would be perfect for the flower theme of the 31 Day Challenge. (more…)
Today’s theme in the Neverending Pile Challenge is a polish trend that died. The first thing that springs to mind is crackle polish, which was a pretty big but very brief trend, however I don’t have any crackle polish since I never liked it much. I decided to go with the only ‘trend’-type untried polish I had, a magnetic polish. I also combined it with bar glitter and microbeads, which I thought were also appropriate for the theme. (more…)
Happy, happy new year to all of you! Thank you so much to all of you that have followed, commented, or just visited my blog since I started it just over 4 months ago. It has already become such a part of my life, it’s hard to believe it’s only 4 months old!
For Christmas, I was lucky to receive some nail polish from my sister. She got me a Grazia set (available at Clicks) consisting of 2 nail polishes, and 2 sets of ‘caviar’ or microbeads. This look has been around for a while – and I’ve done it before myself using microbeads – but it’s my first set of this kind. What better to play around with for my new years mani? Here’s how the box looked:
