It’s Water Marble Wednesday! It looks like the last time I did Water Marble Wednesday was back in August, but if you like marbles, I have shared literally dozens on this blog over the years – check a few out here.
I decided to finish up the Digital Dozen’s Look Up theme with something I haven’t actually seen… but imagine if you went outside right now, looked up, and saw a sky filled with flying saucers and an alien looking down at you! It may be a little far-fetched, but who knows! Besides, I really wanted to use these stamping images 🙂
It’s time for another Digital Dozen week! I got back just in time to take part in this one – I’ve spent the past 3 weeks on an epic road trip through the American desert Southwest! I had a great time, but it’s good to be home.
I’m doing my best to put together posts for this week, especially since I’ve missed the past couple of Digital Dozen themes. I realised halfway through my trip that DD week was right after I got back, so I searched through the handful of posts I had in drafts, and thankfully found one that could do for the first day of the theme. This month’s theme is ‘look up’ and we are supposed to look up and find inspiration in the first thing we see! I’m not sure how practical that is, or you might be seeing a lot of white ceiling-inspired looks – but I’ve at least been thinking about and observing the things I see when I look up.
It’s almost time for another round of Polish Pickup! I feel like I’m still recovering from Polish Con (and I’ll have a post up with lots of pictures from the day soon), but it’s already time to prepare for more Polish Pickup beauties.
The Polish Pickup shop will be open 5-8 October. The theme for the month of October is villains. Moonflower Polish has come up with a stunning blue stamping-friendly polish called The Grand Admiral.
It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is white. At first I didn’t like this theme at all – I was thinking that I’d have to do predominantly white, bridal-looking manicures all week. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, but those types of looks just aren’t my usual style. Even for my own wedding, I wore turquoise nail polish! That made me dread the idea of an all-white week. That was until I had the idea to do nail art based on things that are white, rather than just making white the dominant colour. This meant that I could use plenty of colours, and I had fun coming up with things that are white! (more…)
The week before last was the Digital Dozen’s ‘In My Garden’ week and I only managed to get 4 out of 5 nail art looks posted. I had really hoped to get the fifth one up in time, but just didn’t quite make it! I actually had these nails done and photographed, but wasn’t able to get the photos edited and the post ready in time to share it with you – so I am sharing it now instead. I did have a fun reason for not getting it done – my husband and I took a short mini-holiday to visit NYC for a few days! It was a great time and I got to see all the touristy sights. (more…)
Summer is in full swing in the northern hemisphere, and with it, lots of bright neons! While I wear whatever polish I feel like in all seasons, there’s something summery about bright shades. Moonflower Polish has come out with a set of 8 bright shimmery neons that can be used for stamping or worn on their own. Today I have 4 of the 8 to share with you. This is a picture-heavy post since I have pictures of each polish on its own, over black and white, and stamped in a nail art look that shows one way I’d personally wear these, so get ready for lots of photos and enjoy 🙂 (more…)
It’s day 3 of The Digital Dozen does In My Garden! I’ve done some flowers, and some avocados – but you don’t always get to choose what’s in your garden. Sometimes you might have some visitors enjoying the sweetsmelling haven in their own way. I almost posted a different look today and left this one for tomorrow, but then I remembered it’s Water Marble Wednesday! (more…)
When I posted about Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer The Ancient Power yesterday, I didn’t really feel like my pictures were doing this polish justice. Maybe it’s just me being overly critical after a really busy few weeks, but I wanted another chance to show you this beauty while it’s still available! I decided to add some quick stamping and show you how nicely The Ancient Power pairs with silver. (more…)
