When I posted about Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer The Ancient Power yesterday, I didn’t really feel like my pictures were doing this polish justice. Maybe it’s just me being overly critical after a really busy few weeks, but I wanted another chance to show you this beauty while it’s still available! I decided to add some quick stamping and show you how nicely The Ancient Power pairs with silver. (more…)

Hi everyone!
I am so excited to share this post with you! A short while ago, Nadia of Moonflower Polish approached me and asked me if I could showcase a few of her polishes on my blog. Of course I leapt at the opportunity! Most polishes made by Moonflower are intended as stamping polish, so of course they are perfect for me with all of the nail art I do. In fact, just the other day I was thinking that I needed something fresh in my stamping repertoire and purchased a few new plates. These stamping polishes were perfect to add to that and I think you will like them too!
Today I have 5 brand new Moonflower polishes to share, the Vampy Cremes. These are releasing tomorrow morning, 23 February, at 9 am EST on the Moonflower Polish site. They are all dark creme bases with complementary colour shifting shimmers. They will be priced at $8 for a 15 ml bottle, or $38 for the set of 5. They are also available in mini bottles at $5 each or $23 for the set of 5. Do note that since these are highly pigmented, they may cause staining of nails, skin, or stampers; however I personally have not had any issues with staining while using these as stamping polishes.
I have tested each of these stamping polishes over both a light and a dark colour, so there are no less than 10 stamped looks to follow! It is a long, picture-heavy post, but worth it. Keep on scrolling to see how amazing each of the stamping polishes looks! (more…)
It’s day 4 of the Digital Dozen does Futuristic! So far this week, I’ve shared Star Trek nails, chrome half-moon nails, and metal-dipped fingers. For today’s look, I was thinking about the directions that a lot of movies take with futuristic fashion. Think the garish colours of capitol fashion in The Hunger Games, or the hard geometric lines, lights and metallic finishes of the fashion in Tron. I wasn’t inspired by any specific movie, but it was with these types of bright colours, geometric shapes, and metallic finishes in mind that I came up with today’s nail art look. (more…)
Remember the pink holo chrome powder I showed you a couple of weeks ago? Here it is again with added starry and lightning-y stamping! The intensity of the chrome finish made me want to stamp it with images that conveyed brightness and sparkle, so I went with stars and lightning. (more…)
It’s day 4 of of the Digital Dozen does Rainforests! The rainforest is beautiful, but it can be dangerous as well – watch out for snakes! I had actually done this snakeskin stamping a couple of weeks ago and just hadn’t gotten around to posting it; I realised at the start of this week that it was perfect for the theme! (more…)

Hi everyone!
Today I have a review of some Born Pretty Store nail foils. Since I bought some foil glue a couple of months ago, I decided it was time to give patterned foil another go and see if I could make it work for me. (more…)

Hi everyone!
Today I have a review of a Born Pretty Store stamping polish to share with you. I’ve reviewed a few from this line before and I’ve really liked them! This time, I have Born Pretty Store stamping polish #17 (watermelon). As usual, I’ve done two different looks to show you how the polish performs over both dark and light bases. I like my second look the best, so be sure to click through and see them both! (more…)
Today I’ve moved away from freehand art for the first time this week (don’t worry, there’s more freehand coming later in the week!) to create a pop art look. (more…)
Today I have one from the stash to share with you – I did these nails months ago but never got around to posting them. I didn’t quite love the nail art so it always seemed like there was something else to post first. I still think they’re fun, though, so I’m glad I’m finally getting around to sharing them with you!
