Remember my post last week about the new releases from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer? They also re-released a few gorgeous older polishes and I have four of them to share with you today! All of these are available right now on the Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer site.

I have a review of another Born Pretty Store stamping plate – plate BP-113 – to share with you today. Here is an image of the plate taken from the Born Pretty Store website:
I’ve become quite partial to the larger rectangular plates, but I liked the geometric images on this one so much that I decided to give it a try. I have two different looks to share with you using this plate today, so be sure to check out the full post! (more…)
It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen Does Black! So far I’ve shared two stamped looks exploiting the contrast between glossy and matte – one with pink accents, and the other with gold. Today I’m finally steering away from the stamping. I enjoyed the milky coffee water marble I did last week so much that I’ve decided to bring Water Marble Wednesday back for a while! I won’t be committing to posting a marble every single Wednesday, but I do have a couple lined up and ideas for a few more 🙂 I’m starting it off today with a black and clear water marble over a neon gradient.

It’s the final day of the Digital Dozen Colour Contrast week! I have my absolute favourite, very high contrast look to share with you today. So far this week, I’ve shared looks in yellow and purple, pink and turquoise, red and green, and orange and blue. Today, I have a combination of various colours, and lots of neon!
Today’s 31 Day Challenge theme is dots! I decided to do a neon dotticure. I wasn’t sure if this counts as freehand, since I was using a dotting tool – but then again I was using the dotting tool freehand? It’s a grey area, so I just went bright and detailed to make it count!
I did this nail art a couple of weeks ago, when my nails were still nice and long. They’ve been breaking like crazy the last couple of weeks! I’ve been doing a ton of origami and I think working with paper so much has really been drying them out, despite oiling them and using hand cream on a daily basis. Anyway, let’s just enjoy today’s fun nail art. (more…)
First up, a warm welcome to my new blog! I’ve revamped the whole look and made it easier for you to navigate, comment and pin images – I hope you will enjoy it!
It’s Water Marble Wednesday and today I have combined a water marble with freehand art. Some days a marble just doesn’t go the way you wanted it to. It could be that the polishes don’t spread properly (in which case you should just choose different polishes!) or it could be that the colours just don’t look the way you were hoping they would. That’s what happened to me this time. I did a neon water marble a couple of weeks ago which worked amazingly and another one using only some of the colours which I loved as well. This time I tried to use a different selection of neons and it just didn’t work out. The marble constantly looked muddy and the colours were really pale.
