I have a review of another Born Pretty Store stamping plate – plate BP-113 – to share with you today. Here is an image of the plate taken from the Born Pretty Store website: I’ve become quite partial to the larger rectangular plates, but I liked the geometric images on this one so much that I decided to give it a try. I have two different looks to share with you using this plate today, so be sure to check out the full post! (more…)
I have a swatch of a gorgeous polish to share with you today. I recently discovered a Facebook group especially for Olive polish and just in time! Not long after I joined, I found out Polish ‘M was about to do a group custom. Polish ‘M has quickly become one of my favourite indie brands, and once I started seeing swatches in the group, I knew I had to get my hands on this one. Now there is a very important reason why I am posting this on a Saturday when I don’t usually do weekend posts: this beauty is only available until Monday, 24 April! There is a pre-order for this polish in the olive polish group which closes on Monday. Since I was one of the first to order this polish on the day the pre-order opened, I was lucky enough to get a bottle from the batch that had already been made for official swatches, so I’ve managed to get it swatched in time to share with you while it is still available. As far as I know, it will never be available again, so order it while you can! (more…)
It’s time for another installment of ‘get to know me’! If you were extra observant, you may have noticed that I didn’t post yesterday. As it happens, I’m having a particularly busy week in my ‘day job’ and I haven’t been able to finish all 5 looks for this week’s theme. I’ll probably be skipping another day as well. Let’s just call it a part of getting to know me!
I’ve dedicated today’s nail art to my beloved cat, Gizmo. Gizmo came into our lives a little over 2 years ago when my husband found him crying and hiding under my car, scared and hungry. He was still a baby, only about 2 and a half months old. Luckily, all he needed was some food and some love. He purred his way into our hearts and has stayed there ever since 🙂
A couple of weeks ago, I shared half of the Polish ‘M Christmas Collection with you. Today I’m back with the second half, focusing on the cooler colours in the collection. Unfortunately, most of the polishes from this half of the collection are already sold out. Only one, Holly Jolly Christmas, is still available. Several from the other half of the collection are still available too, and all on sale at half price!
As I mentioned in the first post, this collection consists of ten polishes, each featuring a jelly base packed with coordinating and holo glitter. The collection is phenomenal for water marbling, and I have already shared not only one but two water marbles using this collection. (more…)
It’s Water Marble Wednesday! Your favourite time of the week (right?) and I have a really good one to share with you today! In fact, I almost didn’t post this today because I kept thinking it was Thursday! Luckily I decided to check my blog calendar and saw that I had this post planned.
We are having the craziest weather here the past couple of weeks. We’ll have a couple of really warm days, then it’ll be freezing again; snow and then a thunderstorm; and today there are blustering winds! I’ve always loved the warmer weather so I can’t wait until we’re properly into Spring. On to my bright, summery water marble!
It’s Water Marble Wednesday! I have really been enjoying getting back into water marbling and I’m glad I decided to bring the series back for a while. I used some shades from the Polish ‘M Christmas collection for last week’s marble, and I decided to make use of the same collection this week. They really do marble beautifully and I’m sure I’ll be reaching for them again and again! There are so many different colour combinations to be used from the collection, too – it’s a 10-piece collection so think of how many different combinations I can come up with 🙂(more…)
February might seem like an odd time to share a Christmas collection with you, but I have two very good reasons. First of all, I only decided to get most of the polishes from this collection recently; and secondly, the collection is retiring, so you need to go grab what you’d like ASAP!
The Polish ‘M Christmas Collection consists of 10 polishes, each featuring a jelly base packed with coordinating micro glitter and holo glitter. Since the collection is so large, I have divided it into two parts, and today I will be showing you the five ‘warm’ polishes from the collection.
When this collection was first released, I picked up two of the shades. Recently, it was reduced to half price since it is retiring, so I grabbed another 5. Once I got them, I absolutely loved them; add to that the revelation that they could water marble, and I went back and got the last 3. This is the first time I have ever bought a full indie collection – although of course, getting most of them on the half-price special certainly helped! As I am writing this post, the 5 polishes I’m sharing with you are still available and still half price. Most of the rest of the collection has already sold out, so if you like these, you should go scoop them up! (more…)

Today I have another Born Pretty Store stamping plate to share with you. As I explained in my first post about this set, I got these in a set of 5 plates which works out cheaper if you want all 5, but they are also available individually. Today I am reviewing plate number 03. Pretty soon you may be wondering why I’ve titled this post ‘umbrella stamping plate’ when there are no umbrellas in it – but if you go look at the plate you will see that the lacy section is arranged in an umbrella shape to make an aesthetically pleasing plate. It’s a really cute way of making the plate nice to look at while still having sections that are large enough to stamp from.
