Naturally, December brings Christmas! I’ve always loved Christmas and I have happy childhood memories of setting up the Christmas tree. When we first got a fake tree, we had far too many ornaments for the tiny tree but we insisted on squeezing them all on anyway – it probably looked ridiculous but we liked it and we’d sit around it in the evenings with all of the lights on 🙂
It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen does colour contrasts week and today I’m going with the third ‘obvious’ contrast – red and green! I’ve already shown you my blue and orange and purple and neon yellow nails. We actually had a bit of a discussion in the Digital Dozen group about how to avoid making red and green look too Christmassy, I think I managed it though 🙂
The polishes used in this post include both press samples and items purchased at a blogger discount.
I am so excited to share today’s post with you. Not only am I going to share seven beautiful new polishes from The Howling Boutique’s Supermoon Lacquer with you, but there is also a giveaway at the end! You will be able to win your choice of two of these beauties – this post is picture heavy but be sure to make it through to the end for the giveaway!
Supermoon Lacquer is a relatively new brand, but one that has already caught my eye – you may have noticed me using one of their polishes as the base for my water drops nail art a couple of weeks ago. Of course, I jumped at the chance to swatch their new, gloriously darker collection, filled with shimmer and shift. This is Supermoon’s third full collection and it may just be their best yet!
It’s the final day of Digital Dozen vampy week! I’ve made it through my first week with the group and it’s been a lot of fun. The other bloggers in this group are really talented, I’m looking forward to future DD weeks already!
What would my first Digital Dozen week be without a water marble? It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen Vampy week and it’s Wednesday – the perfect time to combine my Digital Dozen beginnings with remembering my Water Marble Wednesday series!
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a full week since I’ve posted! I intended to post more last week but I’ve been having a particularly crazy time with work, and after the 31 Day Challenge, I just didn’t have a post ready to go. Good news though – I’ll be posting every day this week! And not just any posts, Digital Dozen posts! That’s right, I’m now a member of the Digital Dozen nail art group! If you follow a lot of nail art blogs, you’ve probably heard of the group already. If not, the Digital Dozen is a group of nail bloggers who choose a theme each month and then post 5 nail art looks for the theme during one week, Monday to Friday. The group has been around for 4 years already, with membership changing over time, and I’ve always looked up to the members as fantastic nail artists. I am really excited that I have the opportunity to be in this group now! I think it’ll be a lot of fun and hopefully I’ll create some great nail art to share with you all.
This month’s theme, for my first month with the Digital Dozen, is vampy.
As promised, I’m here for the first day of the 31 Day Challenge with not just any nail art, but freehand nail art! Once again, if you’re interested in participating or just want to know more about the challenge, check out the FAQ. I’ll also include the full list of prompts at the end of this post. The very first theme is red. For this one, I decided to make the red the ‘feature’ colour with the main colour being pink.

Today I am excited to share a new collection from Darling Diva Polish with you. This 8-piece collection, called Watch Your Pack, is inspired by the TV show Teen Wolf. I haven’t watched Teen Wolf yet, but considering previous DDP collections include Deadpool, which I liked, and Star Wars, which I love, maybe I should! This collection is releasing this Friday, 22 July, and all polishes are one-pour only, which means when they’re sold out, they’re gone forever. I absolutely love this collection so I’ve taken a lot of pictures (picture heavy post!) and I recently got a macro lens for my phone – if you follow me on Snapchat you may have already seen macros of some of these – so for the first time on Painted Fingertips, I’ll be including macro shots of all polishes as well. Enjoy!

I am very excited to share with you the first half of the brand new Deadpool collection from Darling Diva Polish! If you’re following me on Snapchat, you might have already seen my first thoughts on these when I unpacked the box. For those of you who missed it – I was lucky enough to meet Carrie, the maker of Darling Diva Polish, in person a few weeks ago. When she offered to send me her upcoming collection I jumped at the chance. I have heard nothing but good things about this brand and they have such beautiful polishes!
This was my first experience with this brand and it did not disappoint. This collection consists of no less than 10 nail polishes. To keep my posts a manageable length since each polish needs several pictures I have split it into two parts. This first part will show the 5 holo polishes, while in the second half you will see some flakies and cremes. I’ve saved my personal favourite of the 5 holos for last, so make sure you make it to the end of the post!
