12 Days of Christmas: Wrapped Presents

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme in the 12 Days of Christmas nail art challenge is presents. I really enjoyed creating this one and I hope you’ll like it too! These pictures almost didn’t make it to the blog. Something weird happened while I was copying them from my camera and I lost the whole folder. I tried to restore them but I couldn’t and I thought they were lost forever… luckily my boyfriend came to the rescue and he was able to restore them! Now we can all enjoy them 🙂 (more…)

Day 28 of the 31 Day Challenge: Flag

Hi everyone!

Today is definitely my least favourite day of the challenge this year! I did these nails in a rush as I didn’t have a lot of time today and ‘inspired by a flag’ is anyway not the most exciting of prompts. These nails would probably never have been on my blog if I wasn’t determined to finish the challenge! (more…)

Dalmatian Gradient

Hi everyone!

Today I have some simple but very pretty nail art for you. A few months ago I was excited to see Essence release their dalmatian glitter – a black and white glitter topper. I love it and it went perfectly over a gradient! (more…)

Nail Art A Go-Go Challenge Day 3: Warm vs Cool

Hi everyone!

It’s day 3 of the Nail Art A Go-Go Challenge hosted by Gnarly Gnails and today’s theme is Warm vs Cool. I decided to go with not just a warm vs cool colour scheme, but also actual warm vs cool images combined with the absolute hottest and coldest polishes I have in my stash! nails-i-love-nail-polish-ilnp-absolute-zero-essence-special-effect-topper-glorious-aquarius-sally-hansen-lustre-shine-lava-stamped-tip-top-nail-chic-armourplate-essence-nail-art-stampy-polish-stamp-me!-black-moyou-roxy-collection-01-flames-bm-319-snowflakes-bm-323 (more…)

Nail Art A-Go-Go Challenge Day 2: Jewel Toned

Hi everyone!

It’s day 2 of the Nail Art A-Go-Go challenge hosted by Gnarly Gnails and today’s theme is jewel-toned. I’m sure we’ll be seeing lots of emerald greens, ruby reds, and sapphire blues – I anticipate Essie’s Lots of Lux has been put to good use by someone – but I decided to take inspiration from some beautiful gemstones I actually saw recently to create this: nails-gradient-catrice-genius-in-a-bottle-sinful-colors-out-the-this-world-sally-hansen-lustre-shine-scarab-sinful-colors-opal-glitter (more…)

Autumny Water Marble

Hi everyone!

In case you’re wondering why I would do an autumny mani when here in South Africa it’s summer, well, I didn’t plan it that way! I just picked out some colours I thought would go well together and only once I was finished did I realise they were a pretty autumny combination 🙂 So for those of you in the Northern hemisphere – enjoy this as an end-of-autumn water marble!water-marble-lava-baker-street-beach-babe-1 (more…)

Water marble over silver

Hello ladies!

Today I’m excited to show you a water marble I’ve done. I’ve always been amazed by those who can control the patterns of their water marble (and I still am), but I think with enough practice maybe I can do it too! So even though I’m not there yet I am very proud of the one I’ve done today:
