Hi everyone!
Today is definitely my least favourite day of the challenge this year! I did these nails in a rush as I didn’t have a lot of time today and ‘inspired by a flag’ is anyway not the most exciting of prompts. These nails would probably never have been on my blog if I wasn’t determined to finish the challenge! (more…)
Hi everyone!
I have another water marble for you today. I am sure you’ve noticed that I’ve been loving the water marbles lately, and this one is no exception. (more…)
Hi everyone!
Today I have some lovely summery nails for you! I’ve been meaning to use some of my water decals from the Born Pretty store so I combined them with a little stamping 🙂 (more…)
Hi everyone!
In case you’re wondering why I would do an autumny mani when here in South Africa it’s summer, well, I didn’t plan it that way! I just picked out some colours I thought would go well together and only once I was finished did I realise they were a pretty autumny combination 🙂 So for those of you in the Northern hemisphere – enjoy this as an end-of-autumn water marble! Hi everyone!
Today I have a water marble for you! It’s been too long since I’ve posted a water marble, since I love water marbles even though I’m still no expert! Today’s one is really bright and fun 🙂 (more…)
Hi everyone!
Yayyy, it’s the second last day of the challenge! I just have to get out one last design tonight and I’ll have DONE my first ever nail art challenge 😀
Today’s theme is inspired by a tutorial, and even though there are tons of great tutorials to choose from, there is one I have been waiting to try since the start of the challenge. Adventures in Acetone does great tutorials and she has one for just about every adorable animal under the sun 🙂 (more…)
Hi guys!
Today’s nails are inspired by my home country, South Africa’s flag. We have a really great flag with bright and beautiful colours 🙂
I created the flag itself on my thumb (shown upside down here, but that’s just because it’s easier to photograph this way, and I wanted to have the triangle part at the tip of my nail!) and just used the colours on all my other fingers.
Hi everyone!
Nails inspired by an artwork opens up a world of opportunity for very complex and beautiful nail art. Unfortunately, while I am enjoying this challenge, posting to a specific theme every day takes a lot of time and I had to pick something that would be quick to do last-minute on my nails! Luckily I found a pretty cool artwork to use 🙂
I paged through an art book I have, World Art: the essential illustrated history, and came upon Jazz (1947), a painting by Henri Matisse. I immediately new it was the best choice for today! Here’s how the painting looks (Sorry for the light shining off the glossy page!)
Hello again!
Today is the fourth and final Tri-Polish day for the month. Today, my nails were inspired by these gorgeous flowers created by Sincerely Stephanie. I’ve had her picture saved for weeks just waiting for a chance to recreate it! Of course, mine doesn’t look nearly as beautiful as hers did, but I still loved having this on my nails.
My three polishes for this month’s challenge were Tip Top Nail Chic – Pot-O-Berries and Blue Meets Green, and Essence Colour & Go Absolutely Blue. I also used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Black Out and White On.
