It’s day 2 of the Digital Dozen does Rainforests and today I have one of my favourite looks of the week to share with you (although my absolute favourite is still coming up on Friday!). I’ve combined some stamping and freehand to create a pretty butterfly nail art.
Today’s theme in the 31 Day Challenge is ‘inspired by a song’. I decided to choose one of my favourite U2 songs, Kite. Even though I know the song isn’t about actual kites, I decided to just go with a very literal interpretation of its name.
Once again, I’m taking part in the monthly Hobby Polish Bloggers nail link-up. This month’s theme is Spring. The nails I’m sharing with you today I actually did a couple of months ago, but I didn’t end up liking them much so I didn’t post them for a while. They are perfect for this theme though, so you get to see them after all!
If you’re a regular visitor on this blog, then you probably know by know that I love doing freehand nail art the most. It does take longer than many other techniques though, so I don’t always get a chance to do it. When I do, I love it, and today’s look is no exception! (more…)
Today I have some super simple nails to share with you. These nails were originally meant as the base for some stamping, but my stamping was just a disaster. I have been struggling with stamping lately and on this day it just wouldn’t work for me. Luckily I took pictures before I started stamping and the base still makes for a very pretty manicure. (more…)
I had some trouble deciding what to do for today’s prompt. I’ve done rainbow gradients before, so I wanted to try something different. The first idea I had didn’t work out at all but I am actually glad because I love the result of my next idea:(more…)
Today’s theme in the Neverending Pile Challenge is a polish you got for free. Last Christmas, my sister bought me a set from Grazia containing 2 polishes and 2 sets of coloured microbeads/’caviar’. I used one of the polishes long ago, but the other remained untried. (more…)
The tri-polish challenge hasn’t been that popular the past couple of months, but I still enjoy it, so I decided to take part this month. The month’s theme is a little different – gold and silver with colour accents. A couple of my manis might be more colour with gold and silver accents, but it is a pretty open theme.
The colours I chose are: for gold – Tip Top Nail Chic Gold Digger, and for silver – Tip Top Nail Chic Armourplate. Both of these are foils which are amazing for stamping, which you’ll see with the later nails!
Firstly today I have a swatch of Gold Digger on its own. I recently built my own lightbox and got a second lamp to try and improve on my photos, and I am loving the results. Over the next few weeks you’ll see a combination of pre-lightbox and with lightbox photos, but hopefully from next year I’ll be able to take most of my pictures with the lightbox and you’ll see a gradual improvement in my pictures.
I almost skipped the tri-polish challenge this month because I mistakenly thought the first posts had to be up last week and I hadn’t done anything yet. Luckily I was mistaken so I had a chance to put something together!
This month’s colours are orange, yellow and green. Not my favourite combination, but it is very Halloweeny. For the challenge, you have to use at least 2 of the 3 colours per design (and all 3 on at least one design) and you may add black, white, gold, silver, and glitter toppers. Here’s what I did:
Today I am excited to show you the prize I won a few weeks ago from Karine’s Vernis Club. I’d like to thank her for the great prize, I was so excited to go pick it up the the post office and play with my goodies 😀 I was lucky enough to win a $40 voucher to spend at KKCenterHK. There were a few restrictions as to what I could buy but luckily I could choose between a whole host of nail art items!
