It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is Mythical Creatures. I am so excited for this one – I love fantasy and the mythical creatures that go along with it. I also think I’ve done at least a couple of good nail art looks for this week that I am excited to share with you! For my first look of the week, I went with the first creature I always think of associated with anything fantastical or mythical – the dragon!
Have you heard about Polish Pickup yet? If you’ve been paying attention to my blog, you have – I swatched a couple of Northern Star Polish contributions to Polish Pickup in the past. This was an idea that was started a few months ago to get various polish makers together, each creating their own polish to fit a certain theme. Each month there is a new theme and all of the polishes created for that theme are available together on one site during a brief pre-order. It is a great way to try out a variety of brands!
I made my first Polish Pickup purchase during the month of October. The theme was Monsters & Mythical creatures and there were a couple of polishes I just couldn’t pass up! Today I have one of those I purchased to share with you – Supermoon Lacquer The Hound of Hades.
The items in this post were provided for honest review from Morgan Taylor through Preen.me.
Today I have 6 gorgeous autumn polishes from Morgan Taylor to share with you. These six shades make up the Matadora collection, inspired by the culture of Spain. I have the regular polishes to show you, and these are also available in gel if you prefer that. I received the 6 polishes along with Morgan Taylor’s base and top coat, and two stamping plates – I’ll be showing you those in a later post!
In all of these swatches, I have combined the polishes from the Matadora collection with Morgan Taylor’s base and top coat, Stick With It and Need for Speed.

When I first moved to Minnesota I looked up which indie polish brands were local to Minnesota. I saw Northern Star Polish but to my disappointment, they were on hiatus at the time. I am happy to say that they’re back! They made their return a couple of months ago and have been participating in the monthly Polish Pickup initiative. I was over the moon when Kristin, the maker behind Northern Star, approached me about swatching this month’s polish. So, here is my first ever Northern Star polish – Shark Bite!
Today I have swatches of a few polishes from Polish ‘M to share with you. These are all from the Words of Encouragement collection. When this collection first came out, all of the swatches looked incredible and I ended up purchasing 4 of the 6 polishes. Those are the four I have to show you today! Three out of these are still available, and the two I didn’t get are also still available, all priced at $9 each – so go browse through the Polish ‘M store!
Do you remember the gorgeous pinky purple polish from Fair Maiden I showed you last week? If not – go check it out! It’s beautiful! Today I am sharing the other Fair Maiden I purchased at the same time. For now I just have these two, but considering how lovely they both are, I’ll have to keep a close eye on the brand! (more…)
The polishes used in this post include both press samples and items purchased at a blogger discount.
I am so excited to share today’s post with you. Not only am I going to share seven beautiful new polishes from The Howling Boutique’s Supermoon Lacquer with you, but there is also a giveaway at the end! You will be able to win your choice of two of these beauties – this post is picture heavy but be sure to make it through to the end for the giveaway!
Supermoon Lacquer is a relatively new brand, but one that has already caught my eye – you may have noticed me using one of their polishes as the base for my water drops nail art a couple of weeks ago. Of course, I jumped at the chance to swatch their new, gloriously darker collection, filled with shimmer and shift. This is Supermoon’s third full collection and it may just be their best yet!
