Glowing Abstract Stamping

Painted Fingertips | Glowing nail powder over black and white stamping

Hi everyone!

Today I have a look to share where I used some of my multichrome nail powder in an interesting way. Since some of these powders look so different over a black vs a white base, I realised that I could create a cool effect by simply starting with a base of black and white stamping, and then adding the powder over everything.

Watermelon Water Marble | The Digital Dozen Does Tropical

Painted Fingertips | Watermelon water marble for the Digital Dozen does Tropical

Hi everyone!

It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen’s tropical week, and it’s also Water Marble Wednesday! So far this week, I’ve shared a tropical floral look and some pineapple nails. I stuck with the tropical fruits today with a watermelon water marble. I’m glad I figured out a way to do a water marble for the tropical theme, it’s always fun to figure out ways to make water marbles work for a specific theme. I’ve seen several other watermelon water marbles before but it’s the first time I’ve tried to do a watermelon. (more…)

Moonflower Polish | Summer Neons

Hi everyone!

Summer is in full swing in the northern hemisphere, and with it, lots of bright neons! While I wear whatever polish I feel like in all seasons, there’s something summery about bright shades. Moonflower Polish has come out with a set of 8 bright shimmery neons that can be used for stamping or worn on their own. Today I have 4 of the 8 to share with you. This is a picture-heavy post since I have pictures of each polish on its own, over black and white, and stamped in a nail art look that shows one way I’d personally wear these, so get ready for lots of photos and enjoy 🙂 (more…)

Painted Fingertips | Black and white dots inspired by Druid Nails

Hi everyone!

I’m running a bit behind with this week’s Digital Dozen posts – I’m going to a conference next week and I’ve had a really busy few days preparing for it. The good news is I think I’m ready for the conference, so now I’m going to be playing catchup with some nail art posts for you. For my second ‘inspired by each other’ look, I was inspired by this black and white dotticure done by Druid Nails. Simple but so striking and pretty! (more…)

Painted Fingertips | Phoenix drip marble nail art - the Digital Dozen does mythical creatures

Hi everyone!

It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen does Mythical Creatures! Remember how I mentioned on Monday that dragons are always the first mythical creature that come to mind for me? Well, phoenix are rarely far behind. I love the whole concept of the phoenix, from its flaming body to its ability to resurrect. So today, I have done a phoenix-inspired drip marble. (more…)

Painted Fingertips | Fairy nails - the Digital Dozen does Mythical Creatures

Hi everyone!

It’s day 2 of the Digital Dozen does Mythical Creatures! I am really loving what the other DD members have come up with so far – I’m looking forward to the rest of this week’s nail art! Yesterday, I started the theme off with some freehand dragon nail art. Today, I’ve gone for a far more delicate mythical creature – the fairy. (more…)

Hi everyone!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my very first theme week so far! I know I have. Hi everyone!

I’m back to finish off the week with one more Born Pretty Store product review. This time it is for a stamping plate that is perfect for Autumn – plate BP-156. This is a small round plate with 4 different leafy designs. I have actually used this same plate for the Fall look I shared with you earlier this week. Today I have manicures using 2 more of the designs on the plate – so there is just one more gorgeous leafy pattern on the plate that I haven’t tried yet. (more…)

Hi everyone!

I have a bright and fun look to share with you today, and I just can’t decide what to call it! Somehow in my head I keep thinking ‘Starburst stamping’ but I don’t know how this look is really a starburst! It’s not quite like fireworks, and it’s not exactly an abstract floral. So what is it? It looks cool, either way! (more…)
