I decided to try a new-to-me technique today that I’ve seen around in a few places. I made some triangular nail polish decals in different shades of blue and put them together to get some fun geometric-looking nail art. (more…)
Today’s post is another in the series I am taking part along with the rest of the Crumpet’s Nail Tarts group. Today’s theme is fashion. I had a hard time deciding what to do for this one because there are just so many options! After a lot of humming and hawing I came upon a picture of this dress and decided to recreate the lovely print. (more…)
Today I am taking part in a Hobby Polish Bloggers linkup. If you’re also a blogger, it’s a great group to be in to discuss nails and blogging. This month’s theme is gradients.
If you haven’t heard of Piggieluv before, you’re going to thank me for this post. If you’re really into nails, though, you probably have! She is one of my favourite nail artists and does amazing freehand and 3D designs. Today’s look was inspired by this post she did. She created a love story in 5 manis and I chose one of the 5 to repoduce. I went with a different coloured gradient, and somehow my couple ended up looking really short, but overall I like it! Winter is officially here and with it has come the snow! It snowed properly for the first time on Thanksgiving. It was very exciting for me as it’s the first time I’ve seen proper snow – everything looks magical and the snow is a lot of fun. Luckily I had some snowflake nails ready to show you! I did these nails almost 2 weeks ago already, ready for when the snow came. (more…)
I’ve taken part in the Hobby Polish Bloggers themed linkups a couple of times before and this time the theme is Monochromatic. HPB is a great group for anyone who blogs nails so I highly encourage you to check it out if you’re a blogger! When I did this nail design last week I hadn’t particularly had the theme in mind, but luckily, it works for the theme anyway. (more…)
In case you haven’t noticed by now, I’m taking part in a nail art group challenge in the Crumpet’s Nail Tarts group. There are a couple of different ways to take part but I’m doing a themed nail art design every second week. This week’s theme is your job. There were a few different ways I could have gone with this one but I’m really glad I ended up picking the one I did. I have recently started my PhD in geology and so I decided to paint some minerals on my nails! Specifically, I went with pyroxene: (more…)
Despite the more limited time I have for nails now, I’ve decided to join in on a low-key group linkup. Some ladies are taking part every week but I’ve decided to aim for once every two weeks. Every second friday, you’ll be seeing a different nail art theme and not only will I share my own nails, but there’ll be a linkup at the bottom of the page for you to see more ideas on the theme. Today’s theme was hobbies and for me, that could only go one way. I am barely getting time to do my nails, when would I fit in another hobby at the moment? So, I did nail art about nail art! (more…)
