Blue and Orange Water Spotting

Hi everyone!
How was your Halloween? I didn’t do anything special this year, I had a nice cozy evening at home. Did you get dressed up? I’d love to hear about your costume if so!

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a drip marble – too long! This is such a fun and beautiful style of nail art. I can never get enough – each drip marble is so unique and if you use a good mix of polishes, it’ll be gorgeous.

I’m a little late, but here’s my fifth look for the Digital Dozen’s books week. So far this week, I’ve shared looks inspired by Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom books, colouring books, a saxophone method book, and George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones. For my final look of the week, I decided to take inspiration from the book I’m currently reading: H.G Wells’ The Invisible Man.

It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen does books! As usual, Digital Dozen week is flying by. So far this week, I’ve shared some Old Kingdom nail art, and a look inspired by a saxophone music book. Today’s look wasn’t inspired by a single specific book, but rather by colouring books in general.

It’s time for another Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is books. There are so many wonderful options to choose from, although sometimes it can be hard to figure out what nail art to do to relate back to the book. For my first choice for the week, there was actually a pretty obvious nail art option. I decided to do some nail art inspired by Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom series – Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen, and the more recent additions Clariel and Goldenhand. These books were near the top of my list for this week, simply because the original trilogy were my favourite books as a teenager, and I still love them.

It’s Digital Dozen week! The first Digital Dozen week of 2019, and this month the theme is Marble. I can bet we’ll be seeing plenty of gorgeous water marbles and drip marbles from everyone this week! I’ve decided to start the week off with a real marble stone look.

Today I have a look to share where I used some of my multichrome nail powder in an interesting way. Since some of these powders look so different over a black vs a white base, I realised that I could create a cool effect by simply starting with a base of black and white stamping, and then adding the powder over everything.

It’s almost time for another round of Polish Pickup! I feel like I’m still recovering from Polish Con (and I’ll have a post up with lots of pictures from the day soon), but it’s already time to prepare for more Polish Pickup beauties.
The Polish Pickup shop will be open 5-8 October. The theme for the month of October is villains. Moonflower Polish has come up with a stunning blue stamping-friendly polish called The Grand Admiral.
Hi everyone!
It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen’s tropical week, and it’s also Water Marble Wednesday! So far this week, I’ve shared a tropical floral look and some pineapple nails. I stuck with the tropical fruits today with a watermelon water marble. I’m glad I figured out a way to do a water marble for the tropical theme, it’s always fun to figure out ways to make water marbles work for a specific theme. I’ve seen several other watermelon water marbles before but it’s the first time I’ve tried to do a watermelon. (more…)
Hi everyone!
Summer is in full swing in the northern hemisphere, and with it, lots of bright neons! While I wear whatever polish I feel like in all seasons, there’s something summery about bright shades. Moonflower Polish has come out with a set of 8 bright shimmery neons that can be used for stamping or worn on their own. Today I have 4 of the 8 to share with you. This is a picture-heavy post since I have pictures of each polish on its own, over black and white, and stamped in a nail art look that shows one way I’d personally wear these, so get ready for lots of photos and enjoy 🙂 (more…)
