It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is black. This seemed like the perfect theme for me to combine matte and glossy finishes – with a splash of colour, of course! I think this will be a fun theme, although I’m pretty sure I’ll be including at least a little colour each day. (more…)

Silver chrome nails have been all the rage over the past couple of months. I’m not exactly sure where the craze started, but it wasn’t long before powders were becoming available left right and centre to help you achieve the attention-grabbing mirror-like effect. More and more colour and effect options are also becoming available – I first saw the silver chrome powder which I am going to show you today, but you can also get gold and various other colours – and of course there is the multichrome powder which I recently shared with you.
Today the Digital Dozen are celebrating our January birthdays with some gorgeous galaxies! This month it is Shelly’s birthday from Sassy Shelly – go take a look at her nails if you haven’t already, she does some amazing nail art! She picked out a gorgeous image that just screamed galaxy nails.

Today I have a review of some multichrome powder from Born Pretty Store to share with you. I am sure you have seen some similar products around – in fact, I did some holographic powder nails a couple of months ago. This was my first time trying a multichrome powder.
It’s the fifth and final day of the Digital Dozen Does Decades! You might be wondering how I could do a nail art to represent a decade we are still in – well, today I am continuing yesterday’s nail art history lesson with the introduction of textured polish.
It’s day 2 of the Digital Dozen Decades theme and today I’ve jumped ahead to the 90s. This was a time of rock music, leather, and too much eyeliner. I decided on a distressed look with a splash of colour and some stamping:
This month’s Digital Dozen theme is Decades. I just got back from my lovely California vacation, so I haven’t had all that much time to think up ideas for the theme, but I’ll do the best I can! I originally had a 30s idea to start off with, but I didn’t like how it turned out so I have decided to start off with the bright and colourful 60s instead! And what better way to use the bright 60s colours than in a water marble?
The semester is coming to an end soon and I have been really busy trying to get everything finished – and still share some nail art with you! I love doing Christmas nail art and I have a few designs lined up already. Today, I have some nail art reminiscent of Christmas candy canes.
Today I have a fun celebratory manicure to share with you. Each month, the Digital Dozen celebrates its members’ birthdays with some nail art. This month, the inspiration for the nail art was selected by our November birthday members Marisa of Polish Those Nails and Serene of Copycat Claws. This month’s inspiration picture reminded me of the effects created by the drip marble technique, so I decided to try one.
