Hi everyone!

It’s the final day of The Digital Dozen does Indie Love! So far this week, I’ve shared a Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer drip marble, a Spring-ready Vapid water marble, some floral Polish ‘M stamping decals, and a graphic spiral look featuring KBShimmer. I’m finishing the week off with another Springy stamping decal look, this time featuring Supermoon Lacquer.

Glittery Spring Floral | The Digital Dozen Does Indie Love

Hi everyone!

It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is Indie Love. I’ve decided to select a different indie brand for each day and do a nail art look using only polishes from that brand! I’m starting the week off with one of my favourite indies, Polish ‘M. I’m also celebrating Spring with a floral look today – I wish it actually seemed like Spring here but a snowy look might have been more appropriate at the moment!

Hi everyone!

I know, I know, I’m so late with this post! But here it is at last, my fifth and final post for last week’s Digital Dozen stamping theme. For this theme, I needed to combine the prompt with a few stamping plate and polish reviews I needed to get done. So far, I shared reviews of 3 plates from Beauty Big Bang – plate BeautyBigBang10, plate BeautyBigBang09, and plate BeautyBigBang07. I also shared my review on how the Moonflower Polish Spring collection performs for stamping. Today I’m back with another review, this time for Born Pretty Store plate Valentine’s Day BP-L001.

The Digital Dozen Does All That Glitters: Glittering Crystals

This post contains affiliate links.

Hi everyone!

It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is ‘All that Glitters’ and I decided to start the week off with both glittery polish and glittering crystals in my nail art. I’ve used some glittery polishes for stamping decals before, and they worked really well. I knew I had to do some glittery decals for this theme! I flipped through my stamping plates, and a pretty crystal image caught my eye – crystals glitter!

Hi everyone!

I’m back to finish off the week with one more Born Pretty Store product review. This time it is for a stamping plate that is perfect for Autumn – plate BP-156. This is a small round plate with 4 different leafy designs. I have actually used this same plate for the Fall look I shared with you earlier this week. Today I have manicures using 2 more of the designs on the plate – so there is just one more gorgeous leafy pattern on the plate that I haven’t tried yet.

Hi everyone!

Today I have another Born Pretty Store stamping plate review to share with you. As usual, I have done 2 different looks to show you what this plate can do. A schematic of the plate is shown below:

As you can see, this plate consists of two halves with continuous patterns, so you can choose any part of the pattern to stamp with or use different parts for each nail. I have done one look using each half. This is plate BP-L002. Painted Fingertips | Gold Born Pretty Store stamping over purple

The Worst of the Worst: 10 Nail Oopsies that never made it to the blog!

Hi everyone!

You probably guessed that something special was happening from the title of this post, and here it is: this is my 500th post on Painted Fingertips! When I first realised I was nearing 500 posts, at first I was amazed that I had done so many, and then, honestly, shocked that it was so few. Haven’t I done seventy million nail posts by now? I mean, it must be at least 3000. According to my stats, though, it’s a mere 500 – and I suppose that really is a lot. I’ve certainly done more nail looks than that since some posts have more than just one look – I usually try to share 2 looks when reviewing a stamping plate or polish, for example.

I wanted to do something special to celebrate my 500th post and I was contemplating what I could do when I remembered one long-untouched folder amongst all of my nail photos. A folder of looks I had deemed ‘not good enough’ for the blog, and yet never deleted. I looked through them and decided I could at least give all of you a laugh! I have two aims in sharing these – one, so you can shake your head and giggle as you see my dreadful nail fails; and two – for any readers who have not yet tried their own nail art, or who have but aren’t sure about trying it again, because you see pictures of nail art and think ‘I can’t do that’ or ‘I just don’t have their talent!’ – this post is for you. I want you to see how far I have come and know that you can, too.

A final note before we get started – I was really very proud of several of these looks at the time that I did them. Some were done before I started my blog, but I photographed them because I had the idea of a blog in the back of my mind. Some were done later and it was only after I photographed them and found myself comparing my pictures to others I saw online that I decided they weren’t good enough to post. Still others were done after I’d been blogging a while and I just had an off day. My point here is that if you do a nail art look that’s imperfect, but you still feel proud of it – that’s fantastic! You should feel proud of it. I know that I was brimming with pride over some of my earliest nail art that looked dreadful in comparison with the gorgeous, finished pictures I was seeing on some of my favourite blogs. That’s how this love for nail art was born!

Enough waffling! Without further ado, here are 10 of my biggest nail flops presented from oldest to newest. Painted Fingertips | Nail Fails that never made it to the blog
