Merry Christmas to you all! Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope that you have a peaceful day. Christmas nails have been all over the place the past few weeks and I decided to create some of my own. Unfortunately, they didn’t come out quite as I envisioned, but at least they are Christmassy. If you saw Tuesday’s post, you’ll know that this month the tri-polish challenge theme is gold and silver with colour accents. In this mani the gold and silver are more the accents, but these polishes stamp so perfectly that I couldn’t resist. I used Tip Top Gold Digger for the gold, and Armourplate for the silver. Today’s pictures are with the lightbox again, so enjoy 🙂(more…)
The tri-polish challenge hasn’t been that popular the past couple of months, but I still enjoy it, so I decided to take part this month. The month’s theme is a little different – gold and silver with colour accents. A couple of my manis might be more colour with gold and silver accents, but it is a pretty open theme.
The colours I chose are: for gold – Tip Top Nail Chic Gold Digger, and for silver – Tip Top Nail Chic Armourplate. Both of these are foils which are amazing for stamping, which you’ll see with the later nails!
Firstly today I have a swatch of Gold Digger on its own. I recently built my own lightbox and got a second lamp to try and improve on my photos, and I am loving the results. Over the next few weeks you’ll see a combination of pre-lightbox and with lightbox photos, but hopefully from next year I’ll be able to take most of my pictures with the lightbox and you’ll see a gradual improvement in my pictures.
Today’s nails are based on one of the first stamping manicures I ever did a few months ago. I took pictures of it but I didn’t clean up around my nails, and the photos were pretty awful so for ages I’ve been meaning to recreate the nails and I finally got around to it. They’re simple but I love them!(more…)
Today I have a guest post for you from the lovely Michelle from Ordinary Misfit. When I first started getting really into nail art and following other blogs a few months ago, Michelle was the first South African nail art blogger I found. When I got frustrated because I couldn’t get OPI Liquid Sands in my area at the time, she bought the ones I wanted and posted them to me! How amazing is that? Not only is she a fantastic person, but she does some fantastic nail art too. Let’s take a look 😀
I am so excited to be doing a guest post for Kerry and it is such an honour to be posting here. A while ago Kerry nominated me for a Liebster award and she asked what was my favourite polish colour and what was my favourite type of nail art. My answers were Pink and Stamping. Of course Kerry knew those were going to be my answers 😉 I decided to incorporate the two for this post today.
