Hi everyone!

Don’t forget to enter my giveaway to win 5 gorgeous custom-made polishes! There are only a few hours left!

I have a fun post today: my namesake polish, silver stamping, and some hidden bling! The moment I put Supermoon Painted Fingertips on my nails, I remembered this post on Lucy’s Stash. The post is from years ago, when I had just started my own blog, but somehow it stayed with me. And somehow, Painted Fingertips seemed like the perfect polish to try my own hidden bling look with. Painted Fingertips | Supermoon Lacquer

Painted Fingertips | Supermoon Polish Painted Fingertips - custom purple polish swatch

Hi everyone!

I am so excited to share today’s post with you! I’m excited about all of the 5 customs I had made to celebrate 5 years of Painted Fingertips, but this one has an extra special name – the polish is called Painted Fingertips! I’ve made no secret of the fact that purple is one of my favourite nail polish colours (and colours, in general). I’ve also shared many swatches and nail art looks using Supermoon polish. So, it seemed appropriate to have a purple Supermoon named for this blog that I’ve put so much time and care into. (more…)

Painted Fingertips is 5! 5 Custom Polishes and a GIVEAWAY!

Painted Fingertips | 5 year celebration - custom polishes and giveaway!

Hi everyone!

Yesterday, I celebrated 5 years of blogging over here at Painted Fingertips. I needed a little extra time to get this post together, but here it is: to celebrate 5 years of sharing my love for nail polish and nail art with you, I am giving away 5 custom made nail polishes! A few months ago, as I realised I was coming up on my 5th blogging anniversary, I decided that I wanted to do something extra special. Aside from sharing my top nail art looks of the year, I decided to celebrate each of the past 5 years with a special polish. I contacted 5 of my favourite brands and commissioned custom polishes for the celebration! I also decided that I wanted to share the celebrations with you, by doing a giveaway. Keep reading to enter the giveaway! (more…)

Art Deco Pineapple | The Digital Dozen Does Tropical

Painted Fingertips | Art Deco Pineapple nails - The Digital Dozen does Tropical

Hi everyone!

It’s day 2 of the Digital Dozen does Tropical! I’m really enjoying this theme. I’ve managed to get all 5 looks for the week done and I like all of them, I hope you will too! I already shared a tropical floral look yesterday, and today I’ve got some pineapple nails. I was thinking about different fruits that I could use for the tropical theme and my mind got stuck on pineapples. When I think of pineapple nail art, I always think of Sarah from 25Sweetpeas who is a big fan of pineapples and has done several fun nail arts featuring them. Of course I turned to a few of her past looks for inspiration! (more…)

Supermoon Lacquer Triangulum

Painted Fingertips | Supermoon Lacquer Triangulum

Hi everyone!

I don’t know how I haven’t shared swatches of Supermoon Lacquer Triangulum until now, I truly don’t. This was an exclusive polish for Black Friday 2016, so almost 2 years ago. If I remember correctly, it was a gift with purchase to the first 20 people to buy above a certain amount during the sale. I was lucky to get it back then and I’ve always liked it – but for some reason it took me ages to properly swatch it, and once I did, I didn’t get around to posting my swatches for even longer. That turns out to be convenient, since Triangulum is available again right now! This is likely the only time you’ll ever be able to purchase it, since it is a part of Supermoon’s 2nd birthday celebration and is now available on their site. All the details on the sale along with some discount codes are listed in the Facebook fan group. (more…)

Ornate Brown Stamping

Painted Fingertips | Ornate brown stamping - Supermoon Fight Your Demons and Emily de Molly Long Road Trips

Hi everyone!

I have an ornate turquoise and brown stamped look to share with you today that I really loved. A couple of months ago, I picked up my very first Emily de Molly polish during March’s Polish Pickup. I was not disappointed! I love turquoise shades and this one was gorgeous with its tiny coppery flakes. I decided to play off those copper flakes with some brown stamping: (more…)

Supermoon Lacquer | The Chosen Collection

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Supermoon Lacquer Fight Your Demons

Hi everyone!

I have a first on here on Painted fingertips today – I am sharing redone swatches of Supermoon’s The Chosen Collection, although I have already shared swatches of these before, back in 2016. The reason for this is that Supermoon Lacquer is having a huge 2-year anniversary celebration right now. As part of the celebration, all polishes from previous collections are available, including some retired shades. There are also several exclusives that are available during the sale, and if you join the Facebook fan group there are some discount codes available. Mardi, the maker behind Supermoon Lacquer, asked if I could reswatch these for her since I’ve upgraded my camera in the meantime, and I could do a better job or capturing their beauty.

Supermoon Lacquer is known for their great formulas and opaque polishes, and these are no exception. All swatches are 2 coats with top coat, and all have a fantastic formula. (more…)

Sheep Nails | The Digital Dozen Does White

Painted Fingertips | Sheep Nail Art - The Digital Dozen does White

Hi everyone!

It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is white. At first I didn’t like this theme at all – I was thinking that I’d have to do predominantly white, bridal-looking manicures all week. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, but those types of looks just aren’t my usual style. Even for my own wedding, I wore turquoise nail polish! That made me dread the idea of an all-white week. That was until I had the idea to do nail art based on things that are white, rather than just making white the dominant colour. This meant that I could use plenty of colours, and I had fun coming up with things that are white! (more…)
