Family Secrets | Northern Star Polish March PPU

Painted Fingertips | Northern Star Polish - Family Secrets

Hi everyone!

Can you believe that it’s already almost the end of February? In a couple of days, it’ll be March, and with March comes the books theme for Polish Pickup! The books theme was a long time coming, almost making it in over the past couple of months and then just being voted out. Finally, the books theme won, and I for one am really excited about it! I have been seeing a few books that I know and enjoy, and others that I haven’t read before – along with lots of pretty polish!

If Polish Pickup is new to you, here’s how it works: prior to each month’s Polish Pickup weekend, there is a period for nominations, and then voting for a theme. These are announced in the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook group, if you’d like to keep up with them there. Once a theme has been selected, participating makers all make a nail polish or other nail care and related items according to the theme. These are revealed in the weeks leading up to the pickup weekend. Finally, on the first weekend of the month, all of the items are available for purchase in one convenient shop. For March, the shop opens at 11 am EST on March 2 and is open for three days, until March 5. That is the only time that this nail polish is available! Enough talk – time for swatches! (more…)

Some items in this post were provided for honest review.

Hi everyone!

I can’t believe it’s already Monday! This weekend went by far too fast. There’s just not enough time to get everything done! I hope that you enjoyed my drip marble theme week last week, I had a lot of fun with it and now we are back to regular programming.

At least I can brighten this Monday a little with some swatches of a gorgeous polish. Today I am sharing my pictures of Fair Maiden Cosmic Confection, which is their contribution for February’s Polish Pickup. Polish Pickup has exploded onto the indie scene over the past few months with its creative way of offering polish and other products from a huge variety of makers, all in one store. Each month, makers create a polish inspired by a theme voted on by the group members. February’s theme is Sugar Rush. There are a lot of polishes available, so if you’re interested in seeing more, I recommend joining the Facebook Group! (more…)

Hi everyone!

I know, I’ve been posting a lot from Born Pretty Store this week, but this one is gorgeous. Most of the products I try from them are nail art supplies, often stamping plates or polishes. I haven’t tried very many of their nail polishes but this time a multichrome caught my eye and I am very glad I decided to test it out! (more…)

Darling Diva Polish Deadpool Collection Part 2

Painted Fingertips | Swatch: Darling Diva Polish As Much Fun as a Sandpaper Dildo

The nail polishes used in this post were provided for my honest review.

Hi everyone!

I recently showed you Part 1 of the Darling Diva Polish Deadpool Collection consisting of 5 stunning holos. Today I have 3 more polishes from the collection to share with you. I held off on posting these as I was hoping to share all 5 remaining polishes from the collection, but unfortunately I don’t have the 2 cremes to share today. These polishes can look quite different in different lighting setups so if you’d like to see more swatches (including the two I don’t have), check out these swatches by Ida Nails It or these by Musings of the Wife of a Jedi. These polishes are on sale RIGHT NOW so if you see something that needs to become a part of your collection, you can purchase here.

WARNING: Just like the Deadpool movie, these polishes are R-rated.  Some names include swearing and dirty language, so proceed with caution!  (more…)
