Textured Gradient | The Digital Dozen does Texture

Painted Fingertips | Textured gradient nail art

Hi everyone!

I got a little side-tracked and didn’t quite manage to get my fifth and final texture post up last week! I’m playing catch-up today with a sparkly textured gradient. In case you missed some of my other posts for this theme, I’ve shared a microbead sunset view, a criss-cross textured gradient, some elegant striped nails, and a very colourful textured dotticure.

Hi everyone!

It’s day 4 of the Digital Dozen does texture! So far this week, I’ve gotten my texture from textured polish, with a textured dotticure, an elegant textured stripe, and a textured gradient over striping tape patterns. Today, I’ve done something different, using microbeads to create texture on my nails!

Textured Roses

Painted Fingertips | Textured rose nail art

Hi everyone!

Back in September, I unfortunately missed Digital Dozen week. I really liked the theme, which was ‘recreating your first blog posts’, and I was so sorry that I wasn’t able to take part! I did have one look that was ready to go and so I am finally sharing it with you today. It’s a simple yet effective textured rose look.

Zoya Chita with Starry Stamping

Painted Fingertips | Zoya Chita with starry stamping

Hi everyone!

Lately it’s seemed like we’ll be getting an early Spring, and then it’s only a matter of time until Summer. Once Summer comes, the long warm evenings will probably find you looking up at the stars before long! Hopefully they don’t look quite like the ones in the starry manicure I have to show you today, or something could be seriously wrong. This is an older manicure which I didn’t get around to posting for a while – here it is at last. (more…)

Hi everyone!

Can you believe it’s already day 4 of the Digital Dozen Does Black? This week is going by so fast! If you missed my previous posts this week, check out day 1, day 2, and my personal favourite day 3. Last night I finished off my final look for tomorrow’s DD does black post. I was showing it off to my husband when he commented that I’d done an awful lot of black manicures lately! Duh – it’s Digital Dozen black week! I had even asked him for some ideas for the last look the night before, so it’s not like he didn’t know about it 🙂

Today I decided to bring in some texture with the black and of course, you know by now that my favourite thing to use together with texture is tape. That meant I ended up creating a fun pink and black crisscross look. (more…)

The Digital Dozen Does December: Christmas Trees

Painted Fingertips | Textured Christmas Tree Nail Art

Hi everyone!

Naturally, December brings Christmas! I’ve always loved Christmas and I have happy childhood memories of setting up the Christmas tree. When we first got a fake tree, we had far too many ornaments for the tiny tree but we insisted on squeezing them all on anyway – it probably looked ridiculous but we liked it and we’d sit around it in the evenings with all of the lights on 🙂 (more…)
