Supermoon Lacquer Triangulum

Painted Fingertips | Supermoon Lacquer Triangulum

Hi everyone!

I don’t know how I haven’t shared swatches of Supermoon Lacquer Triangulum until now, I truly don’t. This was an exclusive polish for Black Friday 2016, so almost 2 years ago. If I remember correctly, it was a gift with purchase to the first 20 people to buy above a certain amount during the sale. I was lucky to get it back then and I’ve always liked it – but for some reason it took me ages to properly swatch it, and once I did, I didn’t get around to posting my swatches for even longer. That turns out to be convenient, since Triangulum is available again right now! This is likely the only time you’ll ever be able to purchase it, since it is a part of Supermoon’s 2nd birthday celebration and is now available on their site. All the details on the sale along with some discount codes are listed in the Facebook fan group. (more…)

Supermoon Lacquer | The Chosen Collection

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Supermoon Lacquer Fight Your Demons

Hi everyone!

I have a first on here on Painted fingertips today – I am sharing redone swatches of Supermoon’s The Chosen Collection, although I have already shared swatches of these before, back in 2016. The reason for this is that Supermoon Lacquer is having a huge 2-year anniversary celebration right now. As part of the celebration, all polishes from previous collections are available, including some retired shades. There are also several exclusives that are available during the sale, and if you join the Facebook fan group there are some discount codes available. Mardi, the maker behind Supermoon Lacquer, asked if I could reswatch these for her since I’ve upgraded my camera in the meantime, and I could do a better job or capturing their beauty.

Supermoon Lacquer is known for their great formulas and opaque polishes, and these are no exception. All swatches are 2 coats with top coat, and all have a fantastic formula. (more…)

Supermoon Lacquer – Party Monarch

Painted Fingertips | Supermoon Lacquer - Party Monarch

The polish in this post was provided for my honest review.

Hi everyone!

By now you’ve probably heard of Polish Pickup – I’ve shared a couple of swatches from previous Polish Pickup themes. If not, it’s a monthly group theme with an ever-increasing number of makers joining in to each create a single polish to fit the theme. December’s theme is ‘Holidays around the world’ and each maker interprets this and finds whatever inspiration they would like to create their polish. All of the polishes for the month are then available on the Polish Pickup site – this round’s polishes can be purchased from 1 December to 4 December. It’s a great way to get to try a variety of brands and all of the polishes that are being created are stunning! To make the whole process more interactive, you can also vote on what themes you would like to see in coming months. More details are available in the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook group. (more…)

Supermoon Lacquer | Ready to Launch Collection (Partial)

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Supermoon Lacquer Ready to Launch

I purchased these products.

Hi everyone!

I have definitely mentioned a few times by now that The Howling Boutique’s Supermoon Lacquer is one of my favourite nail polish brands. Today I have swatches to share with you of 5 polishes from their original Ready to Launch collection, which came out over a year ago now. Although one of these shades has already been retired, the other four are still available and will be restocked later this week for the brand’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. In addition, all of these polishes will be 30% off for the sale! You can join the brand’s Facebook group for more details and announcements. For now, let’s take a look at the pretty polishes! The Digital Dozen Does Futuristic: Turquoise and Chrome Half Moon

Painted Fingertips | Supermoon Tidal Disruption with chrome halfmoons

Hi everyone!

One of the things I was thinking about with this week’s Futuristic theme was: how will people do their nails in the future? There was a time when red or neutral nail polish was about all you’d see; half moons were huge in the 30s, and the French manicure was all the rage in the 80s – and in some circles, it’s still all the rage. These days, you can get any and every colour, and a lot more nail art is being done – although most people still tend to go for a plain colour.

In the future, I figured, maybe a metallic chrome finish will be all the rage. And, as fashions tend to do, maybe the half moon fashion will come around again, just with a bit of a twist! This is what I came up with: (more…)

Supermoon Lacquer: The Hound of Hades

Painted Fingertips | Swatch - Supermoon Lacquer The Hound of Hades

Hi everyone!

Have you heard about Polish Pickup yet? If you’ve been paying attention to my blog, you have – I swatched a couple of Northern Star Polish contributions to Polish Pickup in the past. This was an idea that was started a few months ago to get various polish makers together, each creating their own polish to fit a certain theme. Each month there is a new theme and all of the polishes created for that theme are available together on one site during a brief pre-order. It is a great way to try out a variety of brands!

I made my first Polish Pickup purchase during the month of October. The theme was Monsters & Mythical creatures and there were a couple of polishes I just couldn’t pass up! Today I have one of those I purchased to share with you – Supermoon Lacquer The Hound of Hades. (more…)
