Water Marble Wednesday: Zigzags over a marble

Painted Fingertips | Chevrons over a water marble

Hi everyone!

If any of you are wondering about what got me into blogging, my favourite and least favourite nail looks, and other fun questions, Ordinary Misfit interviewed me on her blog and you can check it out here.

I haven’t done a Water Marble Wednesday in a few weeks, but I’m back with a marble and this time I have used a water marble as a base for some zigzag nail art. (more…)

Neon swirls

Painted Fingertips | Neon Swirls

Hi everyone!

I did this nail art a couple of weeks ago, when my nails were still nice and long. They’ve been breaking like crazy the last couple of weeks! I’ve been doing a ton of origami and I think working with paper so much has really been drying them out, despite oiling them and using hand cream on a daily basis. Anyway, let’s just enjoy today’s fun nail art. (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Freehand Lettering

Painted Fingertips | Freehand lettering over a water marble

Hi everyone!

First up, a warm welcome to my new blog! I’ve revamped the whole look and made it easier for you to navigate, comment and pin images – I hope you will enjoy it!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday and today I have combined a water marble with freehand art. Some days a marble just doesn’t go the way you wanted it to. It could be that the polishes don’t spread properly (in which case you should just choose different polishes!) or it could be that the colours just don’t look the way you were hoping they would. That’s what happened to me this time. I did a neon water marble a couple of weeks ago which worked amazingly and another one using only some of the colours which I loved as well. This time I tried to use a different selection of neons and it just didn’t work out. The marble constantly looked muddy and the colours were really pale. (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Neon

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday and today I really have a good one for you! I have never tried a neon water marble before and I always thought the neon polishes might come out too sheer, but I finally decided to give it a go and I am SO glad I did. (more…)

Hi everyone!

I decided to play with my squishy stamper a bit more to create some 80s-themed nails. Since the 80s were all about bright colours I decided to start with a brightly-coloured distressed effect. (more…)

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme for the Nail Art A-Go-Go Challenge is abstract. When I saw Gnarly Gnails’ post for day 22 – surrealism – I loved it so much that I had to recreate it for today. (more…)

Nail Art A Go-Go Challenge Day 6: Neon

Hi everyone! It’s day 6 of the Nail Art A Go-Go challenge hosted by Gnarly Gnails and today’s theme is neon. Now, I have a confession to make. Before I got into nail polish and nail art, I really didn’t like neon nail polish. I’m not sure why, but I just didn’t – and now I love it, of course 🙂nimbus-nails-sinful-colors-snow-me-white-tip-top-nail-chic-walking-on-sunshine-cyan-can-can-grape-dance-as-the-beat-grows-on-get-the-party-started-salsa-pop (more…)
