The Digital Dozen Does Birthdays: Amber’s Baby Girl!

Painted Fingertips | Pink and white water marble

Hi everyone!

It’s time for another Digital Dozen Birthday post and this time we have something extra special up our collective sleeve! Rather than celebrating one of the group’s birthdays, we’re celebrating a brand new birthday. Amber of Nails like Lace had a baby girl! We decided to surprise her with celebratory baby-girl nails 🙂

Since it’s Wednesday, I decided to make mine a girly Water Marble Wednesday. (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Catchphrases Collection Neon Swirls

Painted Fingertips | Neon water marble - Sweet & Sour Lacquer Catchphrases collection

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday! I didn’t do a water marble last week since I couldn’t think of a good way to include it in the Digital Dozen theme, but I’m back with something extra colourful and swirly today. (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: OPI Colour Paints

Painted Fingertips | Water Marble Wedesday featuring the OPI Colour Paints - macro

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday! Your favourite time of the week (right?) and I have a really good one to share with you today! In fact, I almost didn’t post this today because I kept thinking it was Thursday! Luckily I decided to check my blog calendar and saw that I had this post planned.

We are having the craziest weather here the past couple of weeks. We’ll have a couple of really warm days, then it’ll be freezing again; snow and then a thunderstorm; and today there are blustering winds! I’ve always loved the warmer weather so I can’t wait until we’re properly into Spring. On to my bright, summery water marble! (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Red, Blue and Silver

Painted Fingertips | Polish 'M red, blue and silver water marble - macro

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday! I have really been enjoying getting back into water marbling and I’m glad I decided to bring the series back for a while. I used some shades from the Polish ‘M Christmas collection for last week’s marble, and I decided to make use of the same collection this week. They really do marble beautifully and I’m sure I’ll be reaching for them again and again! There are so many different colour combinations to be used from the collection, too – it’s a 10-piece collection so think of how many different combinations I can come up with 🙂 (more…)

Hi everyone!

As promised, I’ve got another installment of Water Marble Wednesday to share with you today. I’ve used three of the polishes from the Polish ‘M Christmas collection, some of which I showed you earlier this week, to create a bright and fun marble. (more…)

The Digital Dozen Does Black: Water Marble

Painted Fingertips | Black water marble over neon gradients for the Digital Dozen Does Black

Hi everyone!

It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen Does Black! So far I’ve shared two stamped looks exploiting the contrast between glossy and matte – one with pink accents, and the other with gold. Today I’m finally steering away from the stamping. I enjoyed the milky coffee water marble I did last week so much that I’ve decided to bring Water Marble Wednesday back for a while! I won’t be committing to posting a marble every single Wednesday, but I do have a couple lined up and ideas for a few more 🙂 I’m starting it off today with a black and clear water marble over a neon gradient. (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday – Milky Coffee

Painted Fingertips | Milky Coffee Water Marble

Hi everyone!

It’s been ages since I’ve done a Water Marble Wednesday post! Honestly, I just happened to do a water marble, so why not share it on a Wednesday? 🙂
Ever since I got some new Zoyas a few months ago, I’ve been wanting to use them in water marbles. In fact, I already did my bright 60s water marble a couple of weeks ago with some of them. I couldn’t get the brown and the nude I’d bought out of my head though… wouldn’t these be perfect for some coffee-inspired marbling? (more…)

Some items in this post were provided for review. This post contains affiliate links.

Hi everyone!

I have a review of another Born Pretty Store stamping plate to bring you today – this time with roses and peacock feathers! As I mentioned in the previous posts I did about these plates, I got them in a set of 5 as they are more economical that way, but I still decided to show you each one individually so you could see more pretty nail art 🙂 Today I’m showing you the fifth and final plate from the set. If you missed the first four, I’ll link them here for you – there was a gemstone plate, lacy umbrella plate, dreamcatcher plate, and a floral plate. Now, on to today’s two looks starting off with some pretty peacock feathers. (more…)

The Digital Dozen Does Decades: 60s Water Marble

Painted Fingertips | The Digital Dozen Does Decades - 60s

Hi everyone!

This month’s Digital Dozen theme is Decades. I just got back from my lovely California vacation, so I haven’t had all that much time to think up ideas for the theme, but I’ll do the best I can! I originally had a 30s idea to start off with, but I didn’t like how it turned out so I have decided to start off with the bright and colourful 60s instead! And what better way to use the bright 60s colours than in a water marble? (more…)
