Robots in Love | The Digital Dozen Does Inspired by Each Other

Painted Fingertips | Robots in Love

Hi everyone!

I’m still playing catchup for The Digital Dozen’s inspired by each other theme – and getting even further behind. I’ve already done my fourth look for this theme, and I think I’m going to let number 5 go this month – I have some exciting swatches and more nail art to share with you next week! (more…)

The Digital Dozen Does Mythical Creatures | Phoenix

Painted Fingertips | Phoenix drip marble nail art - the Digital Dozen does mythical creatures

Hi everyone!

It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen does Mythical Creatures! Remember how I mentioned on Monday that dragons are always the first mythical creature that come to mind for me? Well, phoenix are rarely far behind. I love the whole concept of the phoenix, from its flaming body to its ability to resurrect. So today, I have done a phoenix-inspired drip marble. (more…)

The Digital Dozen’s Throwback Week: Dots and More Dots!

Painted Fingertips | Crazy dotted nails inspired by Beginnails

Hi everyone!

It’s the final day of The Digital Dozen’s Throwback week – I’ve made it! I’ve had a very busy week and I wasn’t sure I’d get this last post done on time, but it’s here, and I also really love today’s nail art! In case you’ve missed my other posts this week, I decided to interpret the Throwback theme by recreating past nail art looks done in Digital Dozen theme weeks by other Digital Dozen members. So far this week, I’ve done poison dart frog nails inspired by Manis & Makeovers, LOVE nails inspired by 25 Sweetpeas, a spacey water marble inspired by Copycat Claws, and dragon eye nails inspired by More Nail Polish. Although I’ve liked every one of those looks, today’s is my favourite for the week! (more…)

It’s Water Marble Wednesday! And guess what – this is my 50th Water Marble Wednesday! Can you believe I’ve shared that many water marbles? Not to mention those that I posted not as a part of the series! Today I have an extra bright and colourful glitter rainbow marble to share with you. (more…)

The Digital Dozen Does Get to Know Me: Gizmo-cat Water Marble!

Painted Fingertips | Gizmo-cat water marble

Hi everyone!

It’s time for another installment of ‘get to know me’! If you were extra observant, you may have noticed that I didn’t post yesterday. As it happens, I’m having a particularly busy week in my ‘day job’ and I haven’t been able to finish all 5 looks for this week’s theme. I’ll probably be skipping another day as well. Let’s just call it a part of getting to know me!

I’ve dedicated today’s nail art to my beloved cat, Gizmo. Gizmo came into our lives a little over 2 years ago when my husband found him crying and hiding under my car, scared and hungry. He was still a baby, only about 2 and a half months old. Luckily, all he needed was some food and some love. He purred his way into our hearts and has stayed there ever since 🙂 (more…)

Hi everyone!

I have a review of another Born Pretty Store stamping plate to bring you today – this time with roses and peacock feathers! As I mentioned in the previous posts I did about these plates, I got them in a set of 5 as they are more economical that way, but I still decided to show you each one individually so you could see more pretty nail art 🙂 Today I’m showing you the fifth and final plate from the set. If you missed the first four, I’ll link them here for you – there was a gemstone plate, lacy umbrella plate, dreamcatcher plate, and a floral plate. Now, on to today’s two looks starting off with some pretty peacock feathers. (more…)

The Digital Dozen Does Decades: 60s Water Marble

Painted Fingertips | The Digital Dozen Does Decades - 60s

Hi everyone!

This month’s Digital Dozen theme is Decades. I just got back from my lovely California vacation, so I haven’t had all that much time to think up ideas for the theme, but I’ll do the best I can! I originally had a 30s idea to start off with, but I didn’t like how it turned out so I have decided to start off with the bright and colourful 60s instead! And what better way to use the bright 60s colours than in a water marble? (more…)
