Zoya Chita with Starry Stamping

Hi everyone!

Lately it’s seemed like we’ll be getting an early Spring, and then it’s only a matter of time until Summer. Once Summer comes, the long warm evenings will probably find you looking up at the stars before long! Hopefully they don’t look quite like the ones in the starry manicure I have to show you today, or something could be seriously wrong. This is an older manicure which I didn’t get around to posting for a while – here it is at last. Painted Fingertips | Zoya Chita with starry stamping (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday – Milky Coffee

Hi everyone!

It’s been ages since I’ve done a Water Marble Wednesday post! Honestly, I just happened to do a water marble, so why not share it on a Wednesday? 🙂
Ever since I got some new Zoyas a few months ago, I’ve been wanting to use them in water marbles. In fact, I already did my bright 60s water marble a couple of weeks ago with some of them. I couldn’t get the brown and the nude I’d bought out of my head though… wouldn’t these be perfect for some coffee-inspired marbling? Painted Fingertips | Milky Coffee Water Marble (more…)

Review and Nail Art: BPS Silicone Stamping Mat

Some items in this post were provided for review. This post contains affiliate links.

Hi everyone!

Have you tried one of the silicone stamping mats that have become popular recently? I feel like I’ve seen them everywhere lately, and I honestly didn’t quite see the appeal – what makes this better than working over a magazine, or using a stamper head to make decals? Well, I received one in my latest review package from Born Pretty Store, so I decided to try it out. I’ve used it to help me out in creating two manicures, so read on for pretty pictures and my thoughts on whether or not a stamping mat is worth it! Roses and Peacock Feathers: BPS plate 01

Some items in this post were provided for review. This post contains affiliate links.

Hi everyone!

I have a review of another Born Pretty Store stamping plate to bring you today – this time with roses and peacock feathers! As I mentioned in the previous posts I did about these plates, I got them in a set of 5 as they are more economical that way, but I still decided to show you each one individually so you could see more pretty nail art 🙂 Today I’m showing you the fifth and final plate from the set. If you missed the first four, I’ll link them here for you – there was a gemstone plate, lacy umbrella plate, dreamcatcher plate, and a floral plate. Now, on to today’s two looks starting off with some pretty peacock feathers. Painted Fingertips | Peacock feather stamping (more…)

Review: Born Pretty Store Umbrella Stamping Plate

Some items in this post were provided for review. This post contains affiliate links.

Hi everyone!

Today I have another Born Pretty Store stamping plate to share with you. As I explained in my first post about this set, I got these in a set of 5 plates which works out cheaper if you want all 5, but they are also available individually. Today I am reviewing plate number 03. Pretty soon you may be wondering why I’ve titled this post ‘umbrella stamping plate’ when there are no umbrellas in it – but if you go look at the plate you will see that the lacy section is arranged in an umbrella shape to make an aesthetically pleasing plate. It’s a really cute way of making the plate nice to look at while still having sections that are large enough to stamp from. Painted Fingertips | Lacy stamping

Some items in this post were provided for review.

Hi everyone!

Today I have a completely new-to-me product to share with you. You may have noticed that I have done a handful of reviews for Madam Glam over the past week and a bit. This is the final review I have to share with you of one of their products and I just had to try something unique – something I had never tried before. I decided to have my first experience with 3D gel. Painted Fingertips | 3D gel Madam Glam Sugar pattern (more…)

The Digital Dozen Does Decades – 2010s textured polish

Hi everyone!

It’s the fifth and final day of the Digital Dozen Does Decades! You might be wondering how I could do a nail art to represent a decade we are still in – well, today I am continuing yesterday’s nail art history lesson with the introduction of textured polish. Hi everyone!

It’s day 4 of the Digital Dozen does Decades and today I’m doing the 2000s. I’m honestly not too sure what colours or styles would best represent the 2000s – perhaps it is still too recent to discern what set the time apart. Instead, I’m going to give you a little bit of a nail art history lesson! Painted Fingertips | The Digital Dozen Does Decades - 2000s Stamping

The Digital Dozen Does Decades: 60s Water Marble

Hi everyone!

This month’s Digital Dozen theme is Decades. I just got back from my lovely California vacation, so I haven’t had all that much time to think up ideas for the theme, but I’ll do the best I can! I originally had a 30s idea to start off with, but I didn’t like how it turned out so I have decided to start off with the bright and colourful 60s instead! And what better way to use the bright 60s colours than in a water marble?

The Digital Dozen Does December: Christmas Trees

Hi everyone!

Naturally, December brings Christmas! I’ve always loved Christmas and I have happy childhood memories of setting up the Christmas tree. When we first got a fake tree, we had far too many ornaments for the tiny tree but we insisted on squeezing them all on anyway – it probably looked ridiculous but we liked it and we’d sit around it in the evenings with all of the lights on 🙂Painted Fingertips | Textured Christmas Tree Nail Art
