Hi everyone!

It’s day 4 of the Digital Dozen does Decades and today I’m doing the 2000s. I’m honestly not too sure what colours or styles would best represent the 2000s – perhaps it is still too recent to discern what set the time apart. Instead, I’m going to give you a little bit of a nail art history lesson! (more…)

The Digital Dozen Does Decades: 60s Water Marble

Painted Fingertips | The Digital Dozen Does Decades - 60s

Hi everyone!

This month’s Digital Dozen theme is Decades. I just got back from my lovely California vacation, so I haven’t had all that much time to think up ideas for the theme, but I’ll do the best I can! I originally had a 30s idea to start off with, but I didn’t like how it turned out so I have decided to start off with the bright and colourful 60s instead! This month’s inspiration picture reminded me of the effects created by the drip marble technique, so I decided to try one. (more…)

31DC2016 Day 28: Inspired by the US flag

Painted Fingertips | Nails inspired by the US flag for the #31DC2016

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme for the 31 Day Challenge is ‘inspired by a flag’. This has never been a very popular theme of the challenge; to me it seems oddly specific compared to most of the other themes. The American flag is usually popular, firstly since so many bloggers are from the US and secondly because the vibrant colours and the stars and stripes both lend themselves to nail art. I’ve never gone in that direction before, until today! (more…)
